QUIZ NIGHT March 1st 2023

With a good combination of a full house, food and drink on tap, and a lot of healthy village competition, our Quiz Night on Wednesday was a great success!   With the quiz entry fee and the sale of raffle tickets, we raised an amazing £707 so thank you to everyone who either came along to compete with their team, generously bought lots of raffle tickets, or who donated to the raffle prizes.  Every pound that was raised will be spent on helping Flamstead residents so it was a very worthwhile evening.

A very big thank you also goes to Clive Hayward, our very own village thespian, who masterfully hosted the quiz, batted off challenges to the questions, and kept everything and everyone in order.

The Three Blackbirds kindly hosted the event so thank you to them too, particularly the friendly staff behind the bar and the kitchen staff who provided the very tasty looking sharing platters.

I'm sure we will be hosting a follow up quiz in the not too distant future, when teams can try to knock the current winners (aptly named the Elite Quiz team) off their perch.
